Bronxville Will See Light Snow Followed By Heavy Round Of Rain

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Expect a mixed bag of precipitation that will include a wintry mix and some snow before Westchester gets drenched Wednesday by a storm that could produce 2 inches of rainfall, the National Weather Service said.

There will be a chance of snow between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Tuesday, then a mix of rain and snow.

Tuesday's highs will be in the mid 30s with the wind-chill factor making it feel more like between 25 and 30.

After a mix of rain and snow before 9 p.m, there will be a mix of rain and sleet between 9 p.m. and midnight,, with the precipitation expected to change to all rain in the early morning hours Wednesday.

New snow and sleet accumulation of less than one inch possible.

The overnight low will hover around the freezing mark with the wind-chill factor making it feel like it's between 25 and 30.

Temps will rise to the upper 40s Wednesday as the rain will overspread the area from the morning through evening with up to a half inch of rain possible during the day and another half inch to inch during the evening.

The rain should finally wrap up around 7 a.m. Thursday, with an another quarter-inch of rainfall possible overnight Wednesday into Thursday.

The outlook for Thursday calls for cloudy skies with a chance of snow showers during the day and a high around freezing.
