A crash that severely damaged two vehicles closed a major Hackensack roadway and Route 17 entrance ramp on Tuesday morning, May 7. Route 17 Closed Due To Crash In Hackensack
A crash closed all lanes of Route 17 early Thursday, May 2 in Hackensack. The NJDOT website shows the crash happened in the southbound lanes near Summit Avenue sometime before 6 a.m. Photos of the scene show a tow truck and emergency response vehicles at the scene as of press time. A Rite Aid is Hackensack is closing. Rite Aid announced the location at 219 Essex St. is set to shutter. A Midland Park man was charged with sexually assaulting a pre-teen in Wyckoff in 2010. Donato Avolio, now 35, was in his early 20s when he sexually assaulted the youngster, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.
