BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- Kathy Laoutaris, class of '93, was named Condoria College's director of athletics, college President Dr. Rev. John A. Nunes recently announced.
Her position became effective Feb. 16. Laoutaris has been serving as the interim director of athletics since this past fall.
She recently served as the associate athletic director at Concordia and is currently the Senior Women's administrator as well as the head coach of the softball program.
Laoutaris is in her 23rd year of coaching the Clippers and was named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Coach of the Year for softball in 2011. She led the Clippers to the CACC Tournament in 2010, 2011 and 2016, and was named to Concordia's Hall of Fame in 2014.
"I am humbled and proud of the opportunity that President John Nunes and the search committee have given me to lead my alma mater," said Laoutaris. "I am committed to working hard to continue the academic, competitive excellence, and overall experience of our student-athletes. I look forward to working with my fellow directors of athletics in the CACC, and thank them for their support!"
Laoutaris graduated from Concordia with a bachelor's degree in education in 1993 after a successful playing career with the Clippers' softball program. She played third base and received first team All-Conference recognition during her senior year and was named team captain during her junior and senior seasons.
Laoutaris would then lead the softball program the year after graduation as well as working within the administration of the Athletics Department.
Additionally, she has held nearly every administrative position within athletics at Concordia, including athletic trainer, sports information, compliance, and game day management within her 23-year career in the department.
Laoutaris is a member of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association, National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics, NCAA Coaches Connection, and a Regional Advisory Committee member.
