Concordia Men Sweep Felician College

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – Four Concordia players scored in double figures Wednesday as the men’s basketball team defeated visiting Felician College 97-86 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game to sweep the season series between the two teams.

The Clippers evened their record at 10-10 and will host Philadelphia University Saturday at 4 p.m. in their next home game.

Argelix Gil led all scorers with 26 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and teammate Jason Alleyne added 16 points and nine rebounds. Brandon Whitaker and Lavor Morris had 14 and 12 points respectively to round out the Clippers’ balanced scoring attack.

Concordia led 49-36 at half time but Felician cut the lead to nine points with 13:19 remaining in the game before the Clippers answered with a 7-1 run to build a 21-point lead. The visitors ended the game with a 20-3 run of their own to close the deficit to 11.
