Bronxville Broncos Plan on Beating Tuckahoe Tigers

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- The Bronxville Broncos Varsity Football team will on welcome the Tuckahoe Tigers Varsity Football team to their playing field this Saturday. But they don't expect the Tigers to leave Bronxville in victory.

"We are going to win," said team captain Sean Callahan," That's the plan."

Under the direction of coach Jeff Napolitano, the Broncos have been undefeated for 20 straight games, including their annual match with the Tigers.

"You have two teams that are division champions," Napolitano said. "We are very much rivals."

Senior Will Kimak, who is a starting defensive end said that although the Broncos beat the Tigers last year, this is a whole new year.

"We both lost a lot of players from last year and they have some good players on their team this year," Kimak said.

Indeed, the only game the Tigers lost last year was the one they played against the Broncos.

Kimak said that his team will treat this game the way they treat every game, like it is the most important game of the year.

"We bring equal intensity to all of our games," he said.

Still Kimak agrees that the Broncos Tigers match up is just a little different.

"Right from the first play, we plan on showing our whole community that we are going to annihilate them." he said.

For Kimak and Callahan the game will be bittersweet since it will be the last time they play the Tigers.

"We lost in my freshman year but we won in my sophomore and junior years," Callahan said. "I am sure I am going to go out with the win."
