President Of Boeing To Speak At Concordia Commencement

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – Shephard W. Hill, president of Boeing International, will be the commencement speaker and receive an honorary doctorate at Concordia College’s graduation ceremony May 4.

Hill, who received an associate's degree from the college, is a leader in the business world. He has decades of experience in the field of aerospace engineering. In addition to his position as president, Hill is also the senior vice president of business development and strategy for Boeing.

As the president of Boeing, Hill oversees the company’s international affairs and has leadership responsibilities for 20 other domestic operations. He is responsible for developing plans to move the company forward as the vice president of business development.

Hill joined Boeing in 1996 when the company acquired Rockwell Aerospace and Defense units, where he was vice president of government affairs and marketing. He serves on the board of directors of the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum and is a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
