Chambers Field has been the place to be this week, as students, staff and family members crowded the bleachers to see some of Bronxville High School’s youngest student-athletes on JV teams earlier this week.

On Friday, things really pick up, with a two-day schedule jam packed with Bronco sports. At 4 p.m., varsity swimming will square off against Harrison at Sarah Lawrence College, followed by a boys varsity soccer match against Ardsley at 5:15 p.m. at Chambers Field. Closing out the card at 7:15 p.m. on Friday will be the girls varsity soccer team, who will face Ossining with a community pep rally at halftime in advance of Saturday’s games.

Saturday will start with JV football game against Port Chester at 9:30 a.m. and a 1 p.m. JV field hockey match against Lakeland. The varsity field hockey team will take to the field at 3 p.m. before the 6 p.m. homecoming football game.

The student-athletes aren’t the only ones who shined during homecoming week. There have been school-wide activities and themes each day, including Blue/Gray, Bronco, “B” Costume, Uniform Switch and Team Uniform Days.

Every sporting event at Chambers Field is free and open to the public, complete with concessions and Bronco goods that will be for sale.
