In January, Quattrone announced that he would retire at the end of the 2016-17 year after assisting in the search for his successor. Now, the Board is seeking the community’s assistance as the search begins in earnest.

Earlier this year, the district hired School Leadership LLC as search consultants, who have been busy surveying the community, determining what parents are looking for in a superintendent.

According to the consultants, the community is seeking an experienced leader with “a forward-thinking vision” who is knowledgable about finance and taxation. They desire an “effective communicator and inspirational leader that relishes the challenge” of leading such a prestigious school district.

Having narrowed the search criteria that the Board is looking for, they are planning to screen candidates for several months with an anticipated appointment in the spring.

“On behalf of the Board of Education, we value the input from our community during meetings, focus groups and survey responses,” Board President Jeffrey Rohr said. “Education is truly a partnership and the Board looks forward to continuing this partnership as our district transitions to new leadership.”
