WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. - Damaging wind and heavy rain are expected to hit northern and southern Westchester County Sunday evening, the National Weather Service warned.

Thunder and showers are Sunday afternoon will develop into "strong to severe" storms in the evening. The biggest threat will be damaging winds, most likely to occur in the early evening hours.

The rain is expected to continue into Monday, but the winds should not be as strong. A foggy start to the commute is also possible.
