Harrison Attorney Paladino Retires

HARRISON, N.Y. - Harrison Village Attorney Robert Paladino told the town board last week that he is retiring and will vacate the position as of Dec. 31. The current board will work with the incoming administration to choose a new attorney to begin in 2012.

Paladino was selected for the position in 2007 when current Mayor/Supervisor Joan Walsh came into office. The former town board member's retirement was approved last Thursday by the Town Board.

"I'm very sorry to see Bob go," Walsh said. "He has been of incredible value to me during the four years that I've been mayor."

Upon the announcement of his retirement, council member Marlane Amelio also expressed her gratitude to the village attorney.

"I would also like to say he's been incredibly helpful to me, being the newest person on the board," Amelio said of her first two years on the board.

Paladino was on vacation at the time of his announcement and could not be reached for comment.
