BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – Steve Banu, of Bronxville, died on Monday, May 25. He was 85.
Banu was born on Jan. 16, 1930, to John and Mary (nee Onadi) Banu in Star Junction, Pa.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Minna, daughters, Joanne (Naef) Basile and Donna (Albert) Accatino; grandchildren, Claire, Mary and Nicholas Basile, Douglas and Caroline Accatino.
He was predeceased by his siblings, John, Ethel, Marge, Frank, Louis, Mary, Adolf and Helen.
Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, May 27 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Westchester Funeral Home in Eastchester.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 28, at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Tuckahoe.
Interment will be at St. Raymond's Cemetery in the Bronx.
