Santa Comes to Bronxville

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – Santa came to Bronxville Saturday evening to light a holiday tree and drop off some candy canes.

The tree lighting was sponsored by the Bronxville Chamber of Commerce and Haagan Dazs.  A small tree planted at the intersection of Park and Kraft Avenues was decorated for the occasion.

Santa told the children that he was watching and they had been very good this year. He had a different message for parents, urging them to do their holiday shopping in Bronxville.

“Santa can’t bring it all, so buy what you need here in Bronxville,” Santa said.

Mayor Mary Marvin was on hand and made Santa’s wish come true with an early holiday gift to merchants and shoppers.

“We will have free parking on Kraft avenue and Pondfield Road and the lot on Garden Avenue on December 17 and 24 from 12 to 5 so people can shop in the village,” Marvin said.
