Tech Transfer, which is headed by Spencer Cox and Andrew Lamadrid, is seeking donations of notebooks that will be used to help students in the Bronx who are unable to afford such technology.

The group is accepting notebooks that are less than five years old and are capable of running either Windows Seven or Windows Vista. One can simply delete any personal information and bring the operating system disk and box to the donation table.

Those who are unsure if their notebook qualifies can bring it to Tech Transfer, which will be able to evaluate it and, at worst, provide a clean recycle for the machine.

The donation table will be open from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on May 25 at the elementary school. Those who cannot make it to the event can e-mail bxvtechtransfer@gmail.com to arrange a pick up.
