An accident that initially took out two lanes on a stretch of the east-bound Cross County Parkway on Friday morning caused heavy delays.
The accident, reported at 9 a.m., was at Route 22/Columbus Avenue (Exit 8) in Mount Vernon, with backups to I-87 (Exit 4-5).
