Bronxville's Philip Browne Remembered Saturday

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - Philip J. Browne, of Bronxville, died Dec. 6 at the age of 80. 

He was born Jul. 12, 1931 in the town of Newmarket in County Cork, Ireland. Browne served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War and was a retired MTA supervisor.

Browne was also a former employee of St. Patrick's Home in the Bronx, N.Y. as well as a member of the Corkmen's Association. 

He is survived by his sister Kathleen O'Shea and his brothers Tommy Browne and Derry Browne. He was predeceased by his sister Joan Keane.

Visitation will be Thursday, from 7 to 9 p.m., and Friday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., at F. Ruggiero & Sons Funeral Home in Yonkers. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at St.Joseph's Church in Bronxville.
