Bronxville Pastor Receives Silent Samaritan Award

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- The Rev. Robert Hartwell, senior pastor of Village Lutheran Church & The Chapel School in Bronxville, will be given the Lutheran Counseling Center’s Silent Samaritan Award at its annual fund-raising gala on Oct. 17.

The award is given to someone who has dedicated extensive time and talents to carry out the center's mission to be a “healing ministry of the Church” and whose work has made a large impact on those the center serves.

Hartwell served terms as both secretary and regional vice president and chaired various task forces of the Atlantic District of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod; serves on the board of the Counseling Center in Bronxville; and co-chairs the Bronxville, Tuckahoe, and Eastchester Interfaith Council (BIC), which he helped create. 

The gala will be held at Westbury Manor, located at 1100 Jericho Turnpike in Westbury. N.Y. Tickets to the event are $185 per person.
