10 Receive First Communion At Village Lutheran Church In Bronxville

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. — The Village Lutheran Church in Bronxville recently celebrated first communion for a group of children in its congregation.

The process began with four classes taught by Senior Pastor Robert Hartwell, attended by both students and their parents or guardians, and finished with a lock-in event Friday, March 13, including games, devotion and making banners.

The 10 students who received communion during the Sunday, March 22 service were from Bronxville, Mount Vernon, Eastchester, Tuckahoe, Pelham, Scarsdale and the Bronx.

Both Village Lutheran Church and The Chapel School are at 172 White Plains Road, Bronxville, across the street from Concordia College.
