EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – Local residents are once again planning to “paint the town gold” by planting various flowers and plants in the area that will brighten up the community for homeowners and visitors alike come springtime.

Each year, the Eastchester Beautification Foundation plants mums, pansies, daylilies and daffodils all over town that will add a splash of color locally when they bloom in the spring.

This year, the town is planning to “paint” Town Hall, Gazebo Park, the new public library park, and each of the “Town of Eastchester” signs that are peppered near the town line.

The Eastchester Beautification Foundation is a non-profit organization that has been dedicated to beautifying Eastchester for more than four decades. It works with town boards, departments, committees, residents and businesses to improve signs, buildings and plants around town.
