Harpist Rita Costanzi Performs At Bronxville Public Library

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – Harpist Rita Costanzi will perform in a concert Sunday, March 15, at 4 p.m., at the Bronxville Public Library in the Yeager Room.

Costanzi’s performance will include a collection of classical and Celtic harp solos interwoven with poetry and verse, including “The Last Rose of Summer” and “The Minstrel’s Adieu to his Native Land” by Thomas Moore. The concert is free and open to the public

Formerly principal harp of the Vancouver Symphony and the CBC Radio Orchestra, she now devotes her life to solo and chamber music performances and teaching. She is a soloist with orchestras across Canada, as well as invitations from many international festivals in North America, Germany, England, Brazil and Venezuela. Costanzi’s distinguished teaching career includes Master Classes at major conservatories in conjunction with her solo appearances in North and South America as well as at New York University, where she subsequently taught for three years as adjunct professor of harp.

Since relocating to New York City, she has been collaborating with director Arthur Masella on a one-woman show, which made its award-winning New York debut at the United Solo Theatre Festival in 2011.
