The fund-raiser, entitled "An Enchanted Evening," begins at 6:30 p.m .Thursday and includes a dinner and fashion show in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month at Lake Isle Country Club in Eastchester, according to a news release. Cancer survivors and Lawrence's Cancer Care Team will be "modeling the latest fall fashions" during the evening with the money raised going toward Lawrence Hospital Center’s Cancer Survivorship Program, according to the release.
"The event is a great way for anyone who has been affected by cancer to join with other people in our community, and help out those who have survived the disease," Shirley Stagner, Lawrence Hospital Center's Cancer Survivorship director, said in the release.
The dinner and fashion show fund-raiser is co-sponsored by Lord & Taylor at Ridge Hill and Lawrence Hospital Center’s Spirit of Women Network, "which encourages women to make positive changes in their lives by focusing on their total well-being, mind, body and spirit," according to the release.
The event is open to the public and tickets are available for a suggested donation of $30 for the general public, and $20 for Spirit of Women members, according to the release.There is no charge for cancer survivors.
