Apple Bank Names Nicola Standard Bronxville Office Branch Manager

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- Apple Bank for Savings has named Nicola Standard as vice president and branch manager at its Bronxville branch office.

Standard joins Apple Bank with more than 15 years of business and retail banking experience with several leading regional banks. 

James Matera, executive vice president and head of Apple Bank’s Consumer Banking Division, said, “We are fortunate to have Nicky Standard join Apple Bank as the new manager of our Bronxville branch office. Her diverse business and banking background will help support the bank’s initiatives in expanding our retail and small business customer bases, especially in the Bronxville community, which she knows well.” 

Prior to joining Apple Bank in late 2015, Standard was the branch manager at People’s United Bank’s Bronxville office for three years. Prior to joining People’s Bank, she had served as a branch relationship banker at HSBC in White Plains from 2010-12. 

Standard has been active with the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of Westchester County, and has participated in financial literacy programs in the Bronxville community. A native of Jamaica, Standard came to the United States at the age of 12, settling with her family in Brooklyn. 

She graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School and earned a bachelor's in economics from Baruch College. She has lived in White Plains for more than 17 years with her husband and four children.
