NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Concordia College freshman Stephen Milhaven has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Co-Rookie of the Week in men’s basketball.
The announcement came on Monday afternoon, Feb, 15, from the CACC and is reflected for games played between Feb. 8 to 14.
Milhaven has earned a rookie of the week selection from the CACC in four weeks so far this season and three within the past four weeks overall.
Milhaven, from Port Washington, N.Y. helped guide the Clippers to a 2-0 record last week in CACC play.
In the 85-77 win over Dominican on Tuesday, Feb. 9, Milhaven had 19 points and three rebounds and in the 88-74 victory at Georgian Court on Saturday, Feb. 13, he led the offense with 24 points while adding nine rebounds and a career-high five steals.
On the week he averaged 21.5 points per game and 6.0 rebounds per game. He shot 15-of-31 (48.4%) from the field and 11-of-13 (84.6%) from the free throw line. Milhaven and the entire men’s basketball team will return to action on Wednesday as they host Caldwell University in hopes to clinch a CACC Championship Tournament berth with a win.
