Iona Prep’s Lower School will hold open houses on Thursday, Jan. 28 from 6:30-8 p.m. and Friday, Jan. 29 from 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m. at the school at 173 Stratton Road in New Rochelle.
“We are excited to show families all that Iona Prep has to offer at our open houses,’’ said Principal Joseph Blanco. “It’s a great way for families to meet the faculty, administration and parents and talk to students about our program.’’
Families who attend the open house will be welcomed by the staff and given a brief presentation on the school. This will be followed by a reception and student-guided tours. The Thursday evening open house will give parents the opportunity to speak at length with teachers and faculty, while the Friday morning open house allows families to observe students and teachers during a regular school day.
Iona Prep’s Lower School offers a seamless educational process where students can begin their college-preparatory journey in a Catholic environment starting from kindergarten at age four.
Situated on an 11-acre campus with access to the Upper School’s 26-acre campus, students at the Lower School enjoy the finest facilities and a quality education that combines a challenging academic program and religious instruction with an emphasis on service. Boys thrive in the active environment offered at Iona Prep, where teachers help students channel energy into constructive learning.
