The Foundation invites faculty, administrators, staff, students, parents and community members to submit grant requests.

Since its inception in 1991, the Foundation has awarded 643 grants totaling more than $8.3 million on grants that focus on pursuing innovative ideas, piloting new programs, providing faculty training, equipment and facilities in areas of science, arts, athletics, technology, and curriculum development, the release said.

"We are excited to receive the 2017 grant applications, which will improve the educational environment for students, faculty and administrators," said Matt Wetty, who heads up the grants committee this year. "The grants committee is ready to provide assistance in developing and researching ideas."

The grant application with guidelines, as well as descriptions of grants that the Foundation has funded in the past, can be found on the Foundation's website.

The deadline for all applications is Monday, March 6.
