WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Carolyn Anthony Bellom, 88, a longtime resident of White Plains, died peacefully Aug. 7 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease.
She was born June 12, 1927, in New York City, and grew up in the Bronx.
Bellom loved music; she had a beautiful singing voice and was a terrific dancer. She was an avid reader and an accomplished bowler.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Loretta Bellom-Woltmann and Paul Woltmann; her son and daughter-in law, Richard and Bete Bellom, her granddaughter, Angelina Woltmann, and many beloved nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, Charles Bellom, and her sister, Lillian Kessler.
Viewing hours will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 2 Maple Ave. at South Broadway in White Plains.
There will be a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John the Evangelist Church, 148 Hamilton Ave., White Plains.
