Officers in Bronxville arrested Bronx resident Luke Sam after police received an emergency 911 call from a White Plains Road resident who reported a suspicious man she believed was trying to retrieve a package sent to her home on Wednesday, May 31.

According to police, Sam was found to be in possession of a fraudulent New York State driver’s license bearing the homeowner’s name and address. Further investigation into Sam determined that he was also operating an unregistered, uninspected motor vehicle without insurance.

Sam was arrested and charged with a felony count of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument. He was arraigned by Judge George Mayer and released on $750 bail. Sam is due back in Bronxville Village Court later this year.
