HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. --  An explosion reported Wednesday morning at a Hastings condo complex has caused a partial collapse of one of the buildings, according to Greenburgh Chief of Police Chief Chris McNerney.

The explosion occurred at Turnberry Drive at the St. John's Condominiums off Old Jackson Avenue. No one was killed or seriously hurt in the explosion.

Hastings Police and EMS personnel responded to the St. Andrews condominium complex on a report of a house fire with a female possibly trapped in an elevator. Hastings and Ardsley Fire Departments also responded, according to McNerney.

Hastings fire personnel entered the structure and found an elderly female on the second floor of the townhouse. As fire personnel exited the residence and handed the resident off to Police and EMS personnel, there was a large explosion in the unit, according to McNerney.

The female and an EMT were reportedly treated for smoke inhalation.

All neighboring units were evacuated. Con Edison has shut off all gas and electric to the building and the surrounding units, according to McNerney.

The cause of the explosion has not yet been confirmed by officials.

All Hastings Fire Department personnel and equipment is currently on the scene. Fire personnel from Irvington and Tarrytown have moved into Hastings to serve as backup in the event of another emergency.
