Two were hospitalized with injuries in Westchester as first responders handled a pair of back-to-back rollover crashes in Mount Pleasant.

Crews from the Hawthorne Fire Department kicked off their days at approximately 7:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6, where there was a report of a rollover on the parkway near the Stevens Avenue exit in Valhalla. Upon arrival at the scene of the crash, police said that they found the driver, who was able to extricate himself from the vehicle without further incident. No injuries were reported.

While clearing up the initial call, crews from Hawthorne and the Valhalla Fire Department were sent to the Sprain Brook Parkway, near the split with the Taconic State Parkway, where there was a second rollover crash reported.

Officials said that upon arrival, they found two cars that had rolled over into the woods, with all parties able to get out of their vehicles. One adult and one minor were transported to the Westchester Medical Center for evaluation. The injuries were considered non-life-threatening, according to the Valhalla Fire Department.
