Safe Choice examined statistics that included violent and property crimes in order to rank the municipalities throughout the Empire State.
The village of only 6,000 boasted just .16 violent crimes per 1,000 and only 7.65 property crimes per 1,000.
The report praised Bronxville for its proactive safety programs like "Project Dark House" which checks in on vacant homes regularly.
Overall, Bronxville was rated as safer than 85 percent of cities in America.
Briarcliff Manor was rated the safest city in New York and was safer than 98 percent of all cities in the U.S.
Other Westchester municipalities included: Rye Brook (No. 7), Harrison (No. 10), Tarrytown (No. 11), Scarsdale (No. 12), Croton (No. 13), Mamaroneck, (No. 14), Sleepy Hollow (No. 16), Hastings (No.17), Rye (No. 19), Peekskill (No. 22), Dobbs Ferry (No. 24), Eastchester (No. 25) Mount Kisco, (No. 27), Ossining, (No. 28).
