Officials found the 3-year-old black bear in a tree near the Bronx River Parkway. They were able to tranquilize the bear and will take it upstate to New Paltz for observation, CBS New York reported.

This is the third run-in with bears for Westchester County in the last two months. The first sighting was in Yorktown near Peter Pratt's Inn in early April. The second incident included authorities chasing the bear off of an alpaca farm, also located in Yorktown.
