Bronxville Resident Helps Raise $370,00 At Golf Tournament

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- The Friends of St. Dominic’s 23rd annual golf tournament drew 212 golfers and helped raise $371,669 to support St. Dominic’s Home, according to golf tourney chairman Ron Sylvestri, of Bronxville.

The tournament was Aug. 3 at the Edgewood Country Club in River Vale, N.J.

Sylvestri and co-chairs John White Jr. and David Meberg said they were thrilled with the record turnout of golfers, which included longtime supporters and a new group of younger golfers.

Blauvelt-based St. Dominic’s Home is a 137-year-old nonprofit human services agency that provides 40 programs and services to more than 1,800 individuals and their families in New York City and the Lower Hudson Valley, according to a press release. These services include an a K-12 school, pre-school, mental health programs, community-based services for family support, family foster care and residential programs for adults and children with developmental disabilities.
