BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - The Bronxville Police Department is teaming with the community to help overseas soldiers and their families.
During the month of November, the Bronxville Police Department will salute the nation’s veterans by selling specialized “Salute to Service” camouflage ribbons with all proceeds going to benefit the Wounded Warriors Project.
The Wounded Warriors Project “serves veterans and service members who incurred a physical or mental injury, illness or wound, co-incident to their military service on or after Sept. 11, 2001 and their families.”
To date, there are more than 108,000 Wounded Warriors Project alumni, and more than 25,000 family members have been assisted by the program.
“Please join us in thanking those who served, comforting those who served and are injured or suffering, praying for those that did not return, and supporting those that are serving today,” the department stated when announcing their support for the Wounded Warriors Project. “God bless our veterans.”
