Bronxville's Jill Anderson Named 'Woman Worth Watching'

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- Jill C. Anderson, a Bronxville resident and vice president of Public and Regulatory Affairs, New York Power Authority (NYPA), was recently recognized by Diversity Journal as one of the Women Worth Watching in 2015.

Anderson is being recognized for her leadership in positioning NYPA to meet the challenges of an industry undergoing rapid technological change and helping to redefine the electric utility industry in New York State. Anderson also serves as chief of staff to NYPA’s, Gil C. Quiniones, NYPA's president and chief executive officer, and is a member of NYPA’s executive management committee. Her responsibilities include Corporate Communications, Community & Government Affairs, Legislative & Regulatory Affairs, Project Development & Licensing, and Energy Policy and Sustainability. She received a master's degree in business administration from New York University and a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from Boston University. Anderson holds certifications in engineering, legal essentials, project management and process improvement. She was selected as one of the Rising Stars, 40 under 40 Class of 2012, by City and State. Anderson has served as president of the New York State Women in Communications and Energy, an organization that encourages its more than 700 members from across New York State to network and collaborate in the energy and telecommunications professions and to participate in community service activities. She is currently on the board of directors of Greenlight New York, a non-profit entity promoting energy and lighting efficiency solutions through technology demonstration, education and research.
