Heat Advisory Issued For Bronxville

Increased humidity, coupled with projected temperatures in the low 90s, has resulted in the National Weather Service issuing a Heat Advisory for Westchester, Putnam and Rockland counties from noon to 8 p.m. Monday.

A heat advisory is issued when the combination of heat and humidity is expected it to make it feel like it is 100 to 104 degrees for consecutive hours.

The combination of heat and humidity will increase the risk for heat-related health issues, especially for the elderly, as well as those working outdoors.

There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after noon on Monday. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Otherwise, it will be partly sunny with a high of around 92 degrees and heat index values near or at 100 degrees.

There will be patchy fog after 9 p.m. Monday with the storm chance continuing through midnight

Tuesday will be mostly sunny with a high near 90.
