The Harvey School graduate almost left Manhattan one year ago, when he accepted a job with South Florida, only to have that offer rescinded after it was revealed that Masiello didn’t get his degree from the University of Kentucky as he claimed. Manhattan took him back under the terms that he complete his degree, which he did according to the report.
Now in his return to the tournament, Masiello says he’s living in the moment and enjoying this tournament more than last year's, according to CBS.
Ironically, if Masiello and Manhattan win their NCAA First Four game in Dayton, Ohio on Tuesday, they will play top-seeded Kentucky in an NCAA Tournament opening-round game Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
