Tuckahoe Bows To Haldane In Class D Football Title Game

MAHOPAC, N.Y. - Haldane High's football team picked up its first sectional title in five years Friday night, when the Blue Devils posted a 26-6 victory over Tuckahoe in the Class D championship game at Mahopac High School.

The Blue Devils (2-6) will play a state quarterfinal next Saturday at Dietz Stadium, taking on Section 9's Roscoe/Livingston Manor/Downsville at 3 p.m. The teams met earlier this season, with Haldane taking a 28-14 win.

Haldane junior quarterback Brandon Twoguns had 126 yards and three touchdowns in the win over Tuckahoe (1-7), as the Devils built a 26-0 lead. Junior Joe Gregorio also scored for Haldane.
