"This was a great opportunity to connect our student-athletes with the local soccer community," said Pace soccer head coach Mike Winn. "We enjoyed it as much as the youth players."

The clinic featured soccer instruction by Pace student-athletes and coaches, and included both games and drills. Participants also received giveaways, and had the opportunity to have 2016 Pace Soccer schedule posters signed by players after the clinic.

"Working with the youth players is always an amazing experience," said Pace senior Alyssa Zeoli who is from Hopewell Junction and played for John Jay High School in East Fishkill. "Giving back is what we strive to do and I can't wait to see the campers at our upcoming games."

"It was a great experience to be able to give back to the community that supports our athletic programs, especially our soccer team," said senior Ashley Kenny of Chester, N.Y. "Being able to shape the next generation's future in athletics is a very rewarding experience and I know our team is happy to be a part of that."

The Setters open their season in West Palm Beach, Fla., where they will participate in the Palm Beach Atlantic University Kickoff Classic with games against Malone University on Thursday, Sept. 1, and Palm Beach Atlantic on Saturday, Sept. 3. They will then host Georgian Court University on Tuesday, Sept. 6 at 7:00 p.m. in their home opener at Pace Stadium.
