Gil Leads Concordia Men in Rout Over Nyack

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – Argelix Gil scored a game-high 31 points and the Concordia College Clippers men's basketball team won its second Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game Tuesday in a 101-85 victory over Nyack.

Nyack opened with a 7-0 run but the Clippers raced back to tie the score at 9-9 on a layup by Jason Alleyne of New Rochelle.

Concordia took advantage of Warriors' mistakes as the Clippers scored 33 of their points off Nyack turnovers. Concordia also had a large presence on the offensive glass, which helped score 21 of its points on second chance opportunities.

Gil's hit on 11-of-14 shooting from the field while adding six rebounds, four steals, two assists and a block. Alleyne added a career high 15 points while chipping in with four rebounds and a steal for the Clippers.

The Clippers (5-3, 2-1 CACC) will look for another win on Thursday against visiting Caldwell College at the Meyer Athletic Center 7 p.m.
