Early Goals Lifts Bronxville's Concordia Men's Soccer Team To Victory

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- Bronxville's Concordia College men's soccer team scored two early goals to secure a win over Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference rival Philadelphia on Friday, Sept. 4.

Concordia converted on a corner kick opportunity in the 18th minute as senior Jesus Alvarez-Riesco sent the ball into the box and sophomore James Walters  put the header into the back of the net to give the Clippers a 1-0 lead.

Four minutes later Concordia would add their second goal as a free kick from 25 yards out by junior Javier Alvarez Vispo would bend around the defending wall and into the top corner of the net.

Philadelphia was able to get on the board in the second half, but Concordia's defense held on to secure the victory.
