BRONXVILLE, N.Y. Bronxville's Concordia College standout basketball player Argelix Gil has been selected to the All-Met Division II Second Team by the Met Basketball Writer's Association in a poll conducted by head coaches.
Gil, a junior forward, was one of six Central Atlantic Athletic Conference players named to the team. He led the CAAC in scoring with 18.4 points per game this past season and averaged 11.8 rebounds per game, which ranked him third in conference. Gil scored the 1,000th point of this career in January and now has 1,215 career points.
Gil, who helped lead the Clippers to the CAAC playoffs and an overall record of 12-15, the best at the school since 1986-87, will be honored with the All-Met selection players Thursday at the 79th annual NIT/MWBA Awards Dinner at the Westchester Marriott Hotel in Tarrytown.
