The courage and strength of his mother, Samantha, inspired all the attendees to keep going in the battle against cancer. A leader in this fight, Dr. Michael J. Morris, spoke to the crowd of attendees, and some of the nurses, researchers, and advancement staff from the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center attended the event.

A significant amount of funds were donated to benefit the Michael J. Morris Research Fund at the Memorial Sloan Kettering.

The event was streamed live and produced by the Pack Network, with the help of on-camera personalities Chris Granozio and Zach Bye, Concordia's Sports Information Director Brian Snow and supported by the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC).
