Concordia Women's Soccer Team Ready For New Season

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Concordia College women's soccer program is picked to finish 12th by the conference's 13 head coaches when the 2015 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women's Soccer Preseason Coach's Poll was released Thursday.

Philadelphia received 12 of the possible 13 first-place votes and 168 points overall to take the top spot in the poll. 

Holy Family (144), Georgian Court (131), Post (130), and Caldwell (112) round out the top-five with Post earning the final first-place vote. 

Felician (103) occupied the sixth spot with Wilmington (Del.) (96), Goldey-Beacom (75), Dominican (N.Y.) (65), and Chestnut Hill (59) rounding out the top 10. 

Nyack is tabbed one spot ahead of the Clippers at 11th with 47 points as Concordia received 30 points in the 12th spot and Bloomfield received 22 points. 

The Clippers completed their 2014 season with a 0-14-1 record. 

Concordia played in three overtime games during the season, which included their first two games of the season. They earned a tie in the first game against St. Thomas Aquinas in non-conference action. 

The first game of the 2015 season for the Clippers will be Wednesday on the road against Bentley University. Kickoff for the non-conference match is set for 4 p.m. in Waltham, Mass. Fans can follow the action by accessing the live stats and video links on ConcordiaClippers.com.
