The Concordia College Clippers womens basketball team battled Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division foe Post University Tuesday in Waterbury, Conn., falling 72-68 in a closely played game.
Krystina Agard led the Clippers with 20 points and four assists and teammate Mariah Berry added 15 points in the loss.
Concordia (7-16, 6-10 CACC) will host Holy Family Saturday at the Meyer Athletic Center in Tuckahoe with tip-off set for 1 p.m.
Concordia began the game well and held a 10-point advantage in the first 10 minutes of the first half before Post recovered to close the gap to four points. The Clippers would pull away for a 40-27 halftime lead.
The visiting Eagles came out strong in the second half, scoring 10 unanswered points early to pull to within three points. Post then used an 8-0 run to pull ahead with six minutes remaining in the game and extended the lead to 68-61 with two minutes remaining.
