Concordia Women Fall to Post College

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- The Concordia College Clippers women's basketball team trailed by 23 points in the first-half and came up short in a comeback attempt in an 83-74 loss to Post Colege (Connecticut) Tuesday in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference matchup.

Post took an early 9-2 lead as Concordia was unable to hit shots in the early going. Sade Jones made back-to-back shots for the Clippers to get within four points after five minutes of action. The Eagles used their outside shooting to increase their lead to double digits midway through the half.

Krystina Agard led the Clippers in scoring with 23 points, including 13-of-14 from the foul line, and added three rebounds, a block, a steal and an assist in 37 minutes of action. Chanessa Blakemore recorded her 11th double-double of the season as she scored 16 points and grabbed 13 rebounds.

Concordia came out aggressively in the second half and built a 25-9 run over seven minutes to get back within single digits at 55-48. The Eagles responded with a run of their own to get their double-digit lead back.

The Clippers (5-13, 4-7 CACC) will host USciences Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Meyer Athletic Center.
