Concordia Women Extend Tennis Winning Streak

LAKELAND, N.Y. -- Yuliya Plevako and Juliana Frey each won their singles matches 6-1, 6-0 to lead the Concordia College women’s tennis team to a third consecutive match victory in a meeting with host Georgian Court Tuesday.

The Clippers continued their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference schedule with their second 9-0 sweep to remain unbeaten.

In doubles competition, the teams of Plevako and Carla Catanzano and Julian Frey and Ana Mendes each won their matches 8-2. Maria Ortiz and Gomes Xavier continued to dominate in doubles play winning 8-0 for the second straight match. The pair has lost just once in 25 games this season.

Concordia (3-0, 3-0 CACC) will host Chestnut Hill Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at Meyers Tennis Center on the campus of Concordia College.
