WILMINGTON, DE. -- The Concordia College Clippers women's volleyball team pulled out a 3-2 sets victory Saturday to earn its first match of the season over Goldey-Beacom College.The Clippers fell behind after losing the first set, but went on to a 23-25, 25-12, 31-29, 21-25, 15-12 win.Juliann Gillespie (Clarkston, MI.) hit a game-high 19 kills and recorded four blocking assists for the Clippers and senior Amanda Margedant (La Habra Heights, CA.) finished with a season-high 16 kills and chipped in with 10 defensive digs.Hillary Hoffman (East Meadow, N.Y.) recorded 41 assists, 23 digs and three blocking assists. As a team, the Clippers finished with an attacking percentage of .269 and 13 blocks.Concordia (1-13, 1-7 CACC) will host Dominican Thursday at 6 p.m. in the Meyer Athletic Center.
