BRONXVILLE, N.Y. The Concordia College Clippers men's and womens tennis teams have been ranked No. 4 and No. 25 respectively in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) in their winter indoor season preseason rankings.
The mens team has also been ranked No. 1 in the East Region of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, while the women are ranked No. 4 among Division II member teams.
Sophomore Daniele Piludu (Cagliari, Italy), who recently played in the Division II Singles Championship title match last month, is ranked No. 4 in singles and leads the squad. Joining Piludu is sophomore David Tisserand (Lyon, France), freshman Tomasz Olfans (Opole, Poland) and senior Geza Bazula (Budapest, Hungary).
The Clippers women secured the final position (25) coming off their third straight Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship title in the fall. Junior Yuliya Plevako (Astana, Kazakhstan) was ranked in the No. 49 singles position after going 8-2 overall for Concordia this fall.
