BRONXVILLE, N.Y. Concordia College tennis players swept the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Player and Rookie of the Week honors for the week of April 2-8, the conference announced Wednesday.
David Tisserand (Lyon, France) was chosen as the CACC Player of the Week, and Jason Quintana (Holtsville, N.Y.) grabbed the Rookie of the Week award.
Tisserand won his No. 2 singles match 6-0, 6-0 against Caldwell on April 3. Against Philadelphia he won his No. 2 singles match 6-2, 6-1 and No. 3 doubles match 8-0 to remain undefeated in CACC play (5-0 in singles, 4-0 in doubles).
Quintana had success in his No. 5 singles match against the Caldwell Cougars with an 8-0 victory and followed with an 8-1 win at No. 2 doubles. In his No. 6 singles match against Philadelphia, Quintana won 6-2, 6-1 to remain undefeated in CACC play (5-0 in singles, 3-0 in doubles).
Tisserand, Quintana and the team travel to South Carolina for their final three regular- season matches before the CACC tournament.
