BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- The Concordia Clippers softball team has been chosen to finish in 11th place, according to the recently released 2016 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Softball Preseason Coach's Poll.
The voting was conducted by the conference's 14 head coaches. Caldwell, who captured both the 2015 conference regular season and tournament titles, earned 193 points, including 13 first-place votes to claim the top spot.
Dominican (N.Y.) is second with 175 points and received the other first-place vote, while Wilmington (Del.) was third with 167 points. Concordia garnered 52 points in the poll as the Clippers are coming off a 10-24 (9-17 CACC) record in 2015.
Concordia will kick off its 2016 schedule Monday, March 7 in Clermont, Fla. for the first of seven non-conference games in the Sunshine State. Click here for the link to the entire coach's poll.
