Concordia Men's Basketball Hosts Fourth Annual Summer Camp

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- Head Coach Brian Sondey and the Concordia College men's basketball team recently held their fourth annual summer basketball camp at the Meyer Athletic Center this week, attended by 65 campers.

Members of the Concordia Clippers men's basketball team helped teach the campers skills for all talent levels.

"This was just a fantastic week of camp," Sondey said in a statement. "The campers were competitive and learned a lot of skills. Our team really invested in teaching the campers which led to a very positive experience."

The players who helped out included Dylan Gaither (Manassas, Va.), Chris Gordy (Washington, D.C.), Jalen Heath (Joliet, Ill.), Jamie Holder (Milford, N.H.), Rome Jenkins (Deer Park, N.Y.), Kyle Kube (West Babylon, N.Y.), Abejah Mckay (Bronx, N.Y.), Terence Meaney (Valley Stream, N.Y.), Larry Moore (Uniondale, N.Y.), Tshyrad Oates (Union City, N.J.), Andrew Peacock (Upper Marlboro, Md.), Norman Pope (Washington, D.C.), and Douglas Soutar (Hartford, Conn.).

"I want to make sure I thank all of the parents and campers who attended," continued Sondey in the statement. "We are working very hard as a program to be a part of our surrounding communities, and I think this camp shows that we are building a great relationship."

This fall the Concordia men's basketball program will be holding their 4th Annual Friday Night Clinics during September and October. The clinics will be held in the Meyer Athletic Center as more information can be provided by contacting Coach Sondey at Brian.Sondey@concordia-ny.edu.
